Beyond Microfinance
Female smallholders receive improved seeds as a loan as part of a holistic solution along the entire value chain. Seeds as a loan are complemented with fertiliser, agricultural training, a storage solution and access to fair market prizes while female farmers are part of a strong group structure and are connected with Seedloans representatives through a digital solution. We aim to contribute to Zero Hunger, No Poverty, Gender Equality and Sustainable Agriculture.
Seedloans Communities
More than 50% of smallholders in sub-Saharan Africa are concentrated in three regions: Niger Delta, Ethiopian Highlands and Lake Victoria Basin. As Uganda belongs to the latter, we chose the perfect country to start our impact journey.
We currently work with female farmer groups in multiple districts of Central and Eastern Uganda.

Seeds as a loan
We offer 5kg, 10kg, 15kg and 20kg options to farmers – enough to cover 1 acre of land, the typical field size of a smallholder.
